Wow, these noodles are unbelievably easy and incredibly tasty. They are so good that it feels like they should be against the law. These spicy sriracha noodles have quickly become my go-to solution for a quick meal. The best part is, they can be prepared in just 15 minutes. They are packed with rich flavors and an intense spiciness that can be described as stomach-burning. It may sound crazy, but there are times when I actually desire that level of heat. This shout-out is dedicated to all the spice enthusiasts out there.
Recipe Updates
Although the recipe was already fantastic, I made a few minor adjustments. To increase the serving size, I added an extra egg. Additionally, I incorporated more sriracha, increasing it to 2 tablespoons from the original 1 tablespoon, to enhance the spiciness and provide a touch more sauce.
Flavor Balance is Key
The recipe’s sauce utilizes common pantry ingredients (soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha), creating a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors. The creamy butter enhances the overall texture, while the addition of cilantro adds a refreshing touch. The green onions contribute a savory undertone, resulting in a perfectly balanced dish. This uncomplicated combination of ingredients effortlessly comes together, aligning with my preference for simplicity in food.
What Type of Noodles Should I Use?
Don’t worry if you can’t locate the exact type of noodles I used. Instant ramen noodles or regular linguine would work just as well. The noodles simply serve as a base for all the delicious ingredients!
What Else Can I Add?
Looking to elevate your dish? Give my Dragon Noodle Variations a shot: Pork and Peanut Dragon Noodles or Lime Shrimp Dragon Noodles. Some of my readers have even suggested tossing in extra veggies (frozen stir fry vegetables work wonders), but remember to increase the sauce quantity if you’re adding a substantial amount of vegetables.

How to Make Spicy Sriracha Noodles – Step By Step Photos
To start, prepare the sauce for your noodles by blending together 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of sriracha (or adjust to your preference, using 1 tablespoon if desired).
Afterwards, start cooking the noodles. The lo mein noodles I used have a quick cooking time of approximately 3-4 minutes. Feel free to use any type of noodle since they primarily serve as a carrier for the tasty sauce!
Whisk two eggs gently in a bowl while you wait for the water to boil for the noodles.
As the noodles are boiling, heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Incorporate 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper and the beaten eggs, gently scrambling them. Once the eggs have set, take them off the heat, being careful not to overcook them.
After draining the noodles, transfer them to the skillet containing the eggs, and then pour the previously prepared sauce over them.
Mix the sauce with the noodles and eggs thoroughly until they are fully coated.
Garnish the noodles with sliced green onion and cilantro, if desired. Serve and savor!
