AS THINGS RETURN TO MORE NORMAL TIMES, PROMOTION IS VITAL

The effects of this virus on promotional activity and helping to get business moving

As we begin the return to work, reluctantly for some depending on the comforts or otherwise of working from home, there is an on-going debate. Is there a benefit to be gained from working in the office as the latest business news is gathered? Is the discomfort of overloaded trains worth it, when the time spent just getting there and coming back in the evening can be put to better effect – even when it may be simply cutting the grass? Regulations about keeping your distance in the office, if enforced, could remove many benefits to be gained working with others where communication is considered essential.

The optimists among us will get comfort from stories about a ‘V’ shaped recovery being possible. Others, especially management, are facing up to the battle ahead with reduced cash available for essential promotion for business, or in some instances a build up of unspent money that now has to be put to good use, but ‘good use’ is a worry when future returns of Covid-19 are possible and even happening in some places.

Substantial improvement in the energy density of rechargeable lithium batteries is required to meet the future needs for electric and plug-in electric vehicles (EV and PHEV). Present day Li-ion technology is based on shuttling lithium between graphitic carbon and inorganic oxides.
